Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actress who was famous for the role of Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales and the short-lived NBC Show with the same title; Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. She was born in California and discovered her love for acting when an infant. She started working in the world of advertising, appearing in numerous commercials. In 1984 she made her first appearance on screen in an episode of the sitcom by NBC, It's Your Turn. Following that, in 1986's romantic comedy Pretty in Pink, Swan was the first to debut on the bigscreen. Swan was known for her blonde lisp and breathless voice. She's recently shifted from playing main characters to smaller roles. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
