Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
While I had one baby with me, and other babies in the cradle, I worked 12 hours a day grinding floors and cutting off wallpaper. Ha! All was beginning to fall into place, but it was not quite done. The home would require lots of time and a love of shopping. In order to stay within the budget, I started going with my boys to estate sales in search of diamonds. Each week we would spend Thursday to Saturday at garage sales and estate sales buying brand new furniture. After that, I painted and sanded the driveway during the workweek. My first impression was like... that's when my desire to repair furniture was born. Even after our house was furnished I couldn't put it down! I had a stand at the local market and sold pieces there. In the end, I accumulated more items that I could decide what to do with and had outgrown the space. I started having open houses in my home where over 1 000 people came through on one weekend, and purchase anything they wanted on the ground floor. My company Growing Days began here. The business wasn't just expanding, but so was our family of four. In some ways, I found the ideal equilibrium between motherhood as well as starting my own business. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora my fourth child was born in the year 2013. While I was pleased about the direction my company took, I felt like I had to take some time off. I decided to step back and spend some time in my home with my family. In the beginning, this was exactly what I needed. It was only after several months that the phones started to be ringing. Calls came in asking me to help them with the interior design and renovations of their home. It was mostly those who came to my open house for furniture. I began taking on clients at a time taking my time however it wasn't time before I was running several accounts, and I was operating the complete business of home remodeling. If you'd told me that my company would become the premise for a DIY Network show, I likely would have laughed. As I reflect at it, it has made me laugh.
